The Right Distance in Dating

Dating can be a difficult process when one is unsure whether to try to be close to the other or to keep one’s distance. Narrowing one’s distance with another can just be too close for comfort. Keeping one’s distance on the other hand can make the other party feel that one is aloof. Thus, one should be able to gauge just the right distance for the other to feel comfortable. During moments when one is in close physical distance with the partner, one should confirm to see if the other person is responsive. There are some people who aren’t touchy-feely, and in these situations, it would be better to just keep close distance but not have any close physical contact. When not in close physical contact such as with people who date long distance, it is better not to barrage the other with messages or emails. Maybe simple Good morning SMS can already boost the other’s day without needing to do check-ups constantly. In this sense, the dating relationship can be a comfortable one where intimacy is balanced.

Singapore Book Publishers: is a Query Letter Important?

In your effort to get your book published, you need to write a query letter which will serve as your formal request to have your book published by Singapore book publishers. Because of their very busy schedule, you can’t expect publishers to go over the entirety of your manuscript just to know what your book is all about – this is what your query letter is for. With a query letter, you must act as if you are trying to sell your book to the publisher and you must give them sufficient and compelling reasons as to why your book is of great value for their company. You should be able to properly introduce important information about your book, as well as yourself as an author, including your experience and list of accomplishments. Writing a query letter also involves using the right words in order to keep the publisher interested in what you have to say.

How to Use Power Words to Turn Readers to Buyers

Today I want to talk about using power words. This is a great way to turn readers into buyers. We talk a lot more about different strategies in the free report on closing the sale that we have, Twenty-Four Ways to Turn Readers into Buyers, but what I really like about this one is it is the one of the twenty-four tips that I happen to be best at, so I love talking about it.

I think writers in general have an edge in this area, because we know language. Once we couple our unique skill with words with some of the psychological principles that go along with marketing-such as influence and social proof and all of that-then using power words is a dynamic way to make your reader want to buy. The buying doesn’t even need to be money; it could be just helping you spread your influence by commenting, Tweeting, or liking you on Facebook.

But they will bond with you if you help them along by creating powerful copy. You really do that with the words that you use. You want to have rhythm and you want to have flow. You want to do little verbal tricks, like one of my favorite things to do-and I used to tend to overdo it, and I really try hard not to even though it’s in my instincts to do it-is a lot of alliteration. So your words kind of sing. It turns out, if you can get your words to sing, a lot of your readers are going to want to sing with you.

People are hard-wired to look for patterns in what they are hearing and reading, so if you can create these sorts of patterns by choosing your words carefully, you can hook your readers and get them invested in what you’re saying. Choose words that pack a powerful emotional punch and get down to the heart of what your readers want, whether it is security, power or prestige.

This is my best tip for turning readers into buyers.
